July 20, 2011   Clean the ditches.   CRD Parks staff received this council resolution but did not pass it on to the CRD Parks Committee!  Ditches not cleaned.

October 3, 2011  "Reiterate to CRD Regional Parks, Council's position that it desires effective drainage to be implemented by the CRD in this area ...."

Note:   By October, 2011, CRD Parks had still not cleaned the ditches, and the CRD Board had to ask Central Saanich to clean them for the CRD.  This was done in October 2011, and it solved the mosquito problem.   See background

June 19, 2012  ".... Council's strong position that the CRD is expected:

1.     to clear and maintain all ditch infrastructure of the Island View Beach Regional Park so as to ensure that no flooding of the Park and surrounding area occurs  .........."
